Signs you have a problem with fleas
- Pets scratching more than usual
- Small itchy bites, usually around ankles and lower legs
- Tiny dark specks (flea dirt) in pet bedding or carpets
- Fleas jumping on carpets, rugs or furniture
Why it's worth dealing with quickly
Flea bites are itchy and can become infected. Fleas can also pass tapeworm to pets, and infestations get worse quickly in warm weather.

Questions about fleas
I don't have pets. Why do I have fleas?
Fleas can be left behind by previous occupants' pets, or brought in by wildlife such as foxes or birds nesting nearby.
When will the fleas be gone?
You'll see a big drop quickly, but some fleas can emerge for up to two weeks as they hatch and contact the treatment. Keep vacuuming during this time.
